uFluids will out of work for the next two to three weeks. More widge workunits will be available in July. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I wish to "fix" the problems with these current WUs.

We are currently have feeder problems. This will cause work not to be sent from the uFluids server. We are currently looking into the problem.

Due to some software problems, the uFluids BOINC software was upgraded. I apologize for the downtime, but this should fix some lingering problems.

The project will be down for a few hours while the database is being optimized. This will improve the performance of the server.

If the BOINC client states that it cannot find the server, close and reopen the BOINC client. This should resolve the problem.

Workunits starting with axi_tube may not checkpoint. Newer axi_tube5 workunits will be shorter to accommodate this problem.

Please abort any axi_linear_incomp_test1 or axi_linear_test1 workunits. Those with a test2 suffix should work.

A new science application was released with checkpointing. Some older WUs will not be able to take advantage of this feature, but newer WUs can checkpoint. Please post if you are having any problems.

It was just informed that the Internet backbone is being worked on. This may explain slow connection. It hopefully will be fixed by May 11th.

Due a power surge and UPS failure, the database was corrupted. Everything was recovered except for existing workunits. Please check your profile and other options. New work should be up later today. Thanks for your patience.

The engineering code will be released for developers to begin implimenting checkpointing and screen saver features. Anyone interested should check the Message Board under Open Source Development.

uFluids will be down on Sunday, February 12, 2006 (12:00 EST to 17:00 EST). The server will be upgraded during this time.

New workunits will now have two week deadline. This should help crunchers, who work on multiple projects, have better flexibility in load balancing.

As requested, new workunits will have a quorum of three and the median will be used as the canonical credit. Also credit will be given for timed out and bad WUs.

uFluids v1.02 is released. This version will update the progress bar.

uFluids v1.00 deployed! Currently a nongraphical Windows x86 application is available. Other platforms and graphical GUIs will hopefully be released soon.
